Qld: Woman in hospital after two children stabbed dead
BRISBANE, April 17 AAP - A 25-year-old woman was under police guard in a north Queenslandhospital today after her two young children were found stabbed to death.
The woman was in a stable condition but police were unsure if she would be able tospeak to them today.
She underwent surgery at Townsville Hospital yesterday for serious stab wounds to herneck and chest.
A man found at the family's unit in the seafront Townsville suburb of North Ward wastoday still assisting police with inquiries.
The bodies of a six-year-old boy and an 18-month-old girl were found at a Cook Streetunit after police were alerted by a neighbour just before 4pm (AEST) yesterday.
