NSW: Auburn maternity standards haven't changed - health chief

A Sydney health chief says maternity standards at the city's Auburn Hospital have not
changed and it's delivering 1,200 babies a year.

Opposition health spokesman BARRY O'FARRELL says the reduction of out-of-hours maternity
services at the hospital means mothers with birthing problems will have to be rushed elsewhere.

A memo, obtained by the opposition under Freedom of Information, reveals that Auburn
Hospital's maternity patients no longer have access to specialist services …
